| FMI systems are custom designed for specific diseases combining multiple common detection modalities – both structural and functional imaging (PET+CT, PET+CT+SPECT). FMI currently has two Neuro product offerings, the ScintiStar™ Neuro 200 and ScintiStar™ Neuro 100, which provide advanced detection and image guided therapy for neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, and brain tumors.
The Neuro MultiSlice CT provides information about the shape, position or volume of brain tissue. The Neuro PET and SPECT 3D Molecular images reveals how well cells in various brain regions are working by showing how actively the cells use sugar or oxygen. The technology breakthrough that FMI offers rests in its proprietary method for blending structural and functional imaging into a diagnostic tool that is 20%-25% of the cost of any single, currently-available alternative. In fact, the ScintiStar™ Neuro 100 system is a portable, high-resolution brain imaging system that provides anatomical and molecular images. These features allow for quantitative diagnostic measures of brain function and anatomy and feedback for therapy planning and monitoring. Also, 20% the size of whole body PET/CT imaging systems. The ScintiStar™ Neuro 100 is the base model with a 100 mm axial FOV and does not have Neuro Analysis Workstaion as standard feature.
